As of July 1, the 2026–2027 Broadway season is already taking impressive shape, with 20 productions officially confirmed and assigned Broadway theaters. While additional announcements are expected in the months ahead, the upcoming season is already one of the most fully formed at this point on the calendar in recent memory.

As Broadway heads into its busiest stretch of the season, the focus is already shifting toward awards consideration and the upcoming 79th Annual Tony Awards . To qualify for the 2026 Tonys, a production must officially open on Broadway during the eligibility window running from April 28, 2025 through April 26, 2026 . Since launch, 107 Broadway and Off-Broadway productions have received a combined $232M, with $365M of the $400M fund already allocated. With some applications still pending, the program will no longer accept submissions for shows whose first paid performance is after Sept. 15, 2025.
