As of July 1, the 2026–2027 Broadway season is already taking impressive shape, with 20 productions officially confirmed and assigned Broadway theaters. Hollywood Stars Return to Broadway

Several of film and television's biggest names will headline the upcoming season.

Billy Crystal returns to Broadway in 860, an autobiographical solo show directed by Scott Ellis that reflects on the loss of his childhood home in the devastating Palisades fire.

An all-star company will lead Jon Robin Baitz's acclaimed family drama Other Desert Cities, featuring Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Ed Harris, Allison Janney, Joe Keery, and Lily Rabe under the direction of John Benjamin Hickey.

Aaron Sorkin's courtroom drama A Few Good Men returns in a new revival starring Bradley Whitford and Tom Blyth, directed by Michael Arden.

Meanwhile, Tom Hiddleston and Hayley Atwell bring Jamie Lloyd's acclaimed London production of Much Ado About Nothing to Broadway following its celebrated West End engagement.

The connection between Broadway and the West End remains stronger than ever.

Several productions making the journey across the Atlantic include Paranormal Activity, Inter Alia, Much Ado About Nothing, Paddington The Musical, and Jamie Lloyd's highly anticipated revival of Evita.

Among the most anticipated productions of the season is Evita, starring Rachel Zegler. Fresh off its acclaimed London engagement, the revival arrives at the Winter Garden Theatre next spring and is already expected to become one of Broadway's hottest tickets.

Original Musicals Join the Lineup

New musical theater remains well represented.

Wanted, previously developed under the title Gun & Powder, tells the remarkable true story of African American twin sisters Mary and Martha Clarke as they fight to save their family's home. The production stars Solea Pfeiffer, Liisi LaFontaine, Luke James, and Ledisi.

Galileo, featuring music and lyrics by Zoe Sarnak and Michael Weiner and a book by Danny Strong, arrives on Broadway following its successful Berkeley Repertory Theatre premiere, with Raúl Esparza starring as the legendary scientist.

Also joining the season is Warriors, the long-awaited musical adaptation of the cult 1979 film featuring music, lyrics, and book by Lin-Manuel Miranda and Eisa Davis. The production has secured the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre and is expected to be one of the season's most ambitious new musicals.

Lear deBessonet takes on The Sound of Music, starring Jasmine Amy Rogers, while The Full Monty returns in its first Broadway revival in more than 25 years.

Straight plays are particularly well represented this season.

Jocelyn Bioh's acclaimed School Girls; Or, The African Mean Girls Play finally arrives on Broadway following its celebrated Off-Broadway premiere.

Suzie Miller's Inter Alia, starring Rosamund Pike, follows the international success of Prima Facie, while Branden Jacobs-Jenkins' Pulitzer Prize finalist Gloria finally receives its Broadway premiere.
